           Thom was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and learned to cook from her grandmother "Yai In" a very popular food vendor in one of the local markets. She was surrounded by markets, food, and kitchens since she can remember. Thom's grandmother had a food store in the local morning market, and her mum sold desserts and later vegetables in the Chiang Mai city market.Cooking became Thom's passion and meditation, and she began teaching backpackers how to cook traditional Thai food in Pai in 2001. She has worked in kitchens in Thailand and the UK, and learned Indian cooking while traveling in India and Nepal. With a love for cooking and teaching, Thom hopes that her expansive knowledge will create in you a chef in your own kitchen.
